We couldn’t take our eyes off the grooms at the unveiling of Jade’s ‘A Bride’s Reverie’. Not that we’re complaining.
Jade by Monica and Karishma just showcased their wedding couture collection ‘A Bride’s Reverie’. But to say that we found the grooms to be more interesting would be an understatement. While the bridal looks were stunning, the menswear had a lot of interesting elements.
There was one look that ditched the mundane stole draped around the neck for an interesting stole that was draped on the shoulders.
Another look featured breezy wide-legged pants with an embellished blazer that was equal amounts elegant and chilled out.
One menswear look had a sheer embellished shirt paired with floral pants, which was a maximalist man’s dream! This season we saw a dramatic rise in headgear at the recently held Hyundai India Couture Week, and things were no different at Jade. Except this time, men wore them too!
Another cute trend we totally can’t wait for men to embrace at weddings is cute mini clutches, something that was seen in various looks.
Women’s looks featured a varied colour palette with pastels, emerald green, ivory, purple, reds, and yellow. The hair featured elaborate braids decorated with red roses, much like the decor of the place.
The best women’s looks were all the kaftans and jacket dresses with thigh-high slits, which were strong yet sexy. Honourable mention: a lehenga with a blouse with lots of 3D roses in grey.
Another trend that was spotted in both men’s and women’s looks was sheer—lots of it!
Mira Rajput closed the show as she walked in wearing a powder blue lehenga which was very traditional yet cool, having ditched the dupatta for a bib.
So dear brides and grooms (especially the grooms)—please take notes!
