We poured over the stunning fashion at display during the Hyundai India Couture Week 2024, and these are the bridal trends we spotted…
One of the most eagerly anticipated weeks for fashion enthusiasts (and serial wedding attendees) in the country just concluded and we’re still not over the sheer amount of breathtaking couture on display at the Hyundai India Couture Week this time.
Every year, ICW gives us an idea of the trends we can expect to see everywhere during the following wedding season. For the 2024 edition, the designers showed us that bold exploration of silhouettes and colours is the way to go.
We rounded up some of the major trends spotted at the Hyundai ICW 2024. Take a look…
Pastels might have dominated the bridal colour palette for a while now, but this is the season for the nudes. Designers like Tarun Tahiliani, Falguni Shane Peacock, Rimzim Dadu and Gaurav Gupta showed that going for ivories and beige is the way to go.
One of the major trends we spotted this time was the subtle invasion of risqué silhouettes in the bridal wardrobe. Whether it’s corsets or cut-outs, the mantra is: If you’ve got it, flaunt it! Designers like Rimzim Dadu, Siddhartha Tytler, Roseroom by Isha Jajodia and Suneet Varma gave the trend their stamp of approval.
On the runways of designers like Tarun Tahiliani, Jayanti Reddy, Dolly J and Roseroom by Isha Jajodia, we saw how you can bring out your favourite corset to pair with your sari or lehenga in unique ways this season.
Speaking of risqué trends we loved, the ‘sky’s out thighs out’ philosophy adopted by designers like Rahul Mishra, Falguni Shane Peacock and Dolly J was a standout.
Whether you’re a minimalist bride or someone unafraid to indulge her maximalist side, there was a head accessory for everyone. From veils to headbands, designers like Amit Aggarwal, Siddhartha Tytler, Suneet Varma, Asal Mard by Aby Jani Sandeep Khosla, and Roseroom by Isha Jajodia showed us how it’s done.
While nudes might reign supreme for brides this season, all-black looks are also not far behind. Designers like JJ Valaya, Tarun Tahiliani, Rimzim Dadu, Gaurav Gupta, Siddhartha Tytler and Roseroom by Isha Jajodia proved that you cannot go wrong with the classic shade when it comes to wedding season.
