On the 4th Day of Hyundai India Couture Week in association with Reliance Brands, couturier Dolly J. presented her ‘La Vie en Rose’ Collection.
In a stunning setting at the Taj Palace, New Delhi, couturier Dolly J debuted her latest collection, La Vie en Rose. The showcase was a fairytale come true that paid homage to her reputed craftsmanship blended with her elegant bridal ensembles.
Bedecked with pink roses in the background, music filled the ambience as models showcased pastel tones replete with shimmer, feathers and tassels.
Presenting a fresh approach to her rich vintage embroideries, we saw her incorporating new forms of textiles, too, like a Prussian blue gown featuring chikankari replete with sequins, tassels and feathers.
Lehengas with corsets, off-shoulder gowns and pre-draped saris featuring thigh slits were seen in champagne, good old red, mauve and pastel pink tones.
We also spotted hues of blue, verdant green, Prussian blue and other colours adorned with delicate lace. This was all balanced and brought together with structured elements such as corsets.
The showstopper Sonakshi Sinha walked the ramp in a powder pink gown featuring crystals, tassels and sequins.
The exploration of colours and silhouettes is sure to inspire brides, and wedding attendees, this upcoming wedding season.
