Radhika offers every reason as to why you should go for smokey brown eyes this season...
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’d agree that brown is the MVP of the season. Not only has the hue translated in the most sophisticated manner in fashion but the same has also proven to be a mainstay when it comes to beauty.
Case in point: Radhika Merchant’s recent look where she was spotted in a Sabyasachi sari with an emerald choker and smokey brown eyes done by bridal make-up artist Mausam Gandhi.
Mausam created a radiant, lit-from-within base for Radhika which naturally lifted her features. For her lips and cheeks, she opted for a soft matte muted pink shade that added a natural flush to her complexion. The MUA then blended a soft bronze shade across the lids, adding a touch of brown eyeshadow for a smoky effect. The look was completed with a few generous coats of mascara on the upper lashes. The softly defined brows pulled the look together while the light shimmer on the centre of the lids added just the right amount of intensity.
Begin by using a gentle, hydrating cleanser and follow up with a nourishing, hydrating cream such as YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream.
Follow up with a pore-filling primer on your T-zone and laugh lines to avoid creasing. Apply an illuminating primer on the high-points of your face such as your cheekbones for a glowy base.
Apply a concealer over any spots or imperfections. Follow up with a dewy, medium-coverage foundation and blend it with a beauty blender like the one from Praush Beauty for a seamless finish.
Next, for the eyes, start with a chocolate brown eyeshadow. Place it all over the eyelids and add a dark brown eyeshadow on the crease.
Then use Color Chemistry’s Organic Kajal Pencil in the shade loam to line your eyes. Blend the kohl with your eye shadow for an ombre-like finish.
Use a mauve pink blush to create a soft flushed look. Apply it using a fluffy brush like the one from Real Techniques.
Dab creme highlighter to the high points of your cheeks and blend towards your temples.
Finish the look with a light pink matte lipstick. Lock in your look with a hydrating setting spray
