From bold denim statements to regal menswear, Pawan Sachdeva and Rohit Kamra redefined fashion trends at Lakmé Fashion Week with collections that blend versatility, luxury, and timeless style.
This year at FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI, designers Pawan Sachdeva and Rohit Kamra took centre stage with collections that turned heads and set new fashion trends.
Sachdeva brought denim into the spotlight with his bold, inclusive “Trailblazer” collection, redefining versatility for all shapes, sizes, and styles. Meanwhile, Kamra’s “Symmetric Rhapsody” collection channelled regal elegance with intricate geometry and timeless silhouettes.
Together, these designers created a runway buzz, offering fresh, trendsetting styles that combine luxury, comfort, and innovation—perfect for the modern fashion-forward man of today.
Denim isn’t just for off-duty days anymore and Pawan Sachdeva effortlessly elevated it to high fashion status with his collection. The designer’s mission? Inclusivity and versatility. His denim lineup didn’t just cater to one crowd; it spanned across Gen Z, millennials, men, women, and even unisex buyers, making this collection one that speaks to everyone.
Whether you’re attending a wedding, going for a casual brunch, or hitting the red carpet, there’s a piece for every occasion. The collection offers various washes, colours, and even brushstroke details. Oversized and anti-fit silhouettes stole the show, contrasted with sharper, fitted jackets and trousers. This playful mix of luxury and streetwear gave a refreshing take on a wardrobe staple, making denim the hero of every look.
Adding to the charm was Taaha Shah, who strutted in a three-piece suit with a rusty black wash, proving that denim can indeed be sophisticated. Pawan’s approach to this collection was all about merging comfort with trendsetting style, ensuring that these pieces will stay relevant beyond just a season. His ability to blend laid-back vibes with a luxurious edge makes this collection an absolute winner.
On the other hand, Rohit Kamra brought his signature regal flair to the runway with the “Symmetric Rhapsody” collection, continuing his reign as Jaipur’s go-to for modern Maharaja vibes. Inspired by the intricate geometric patterns of Acoma Pueblo pottery, Kamra’s menswear designs struck a harmonious balance between tradition and innovation. Kamra’s colour palette of black, white, and beige offered a rich, earthy feel, while the structured silhouettes—think bandhgalas, trench coats, and double-breasted jackets—gave a nod to both classic Indian and Western tailoring.
His use of Italian checks intertwined with jogirali thread work took the collection’s craftsmanship up a notch. South American influences added a contemporary twist, making this collection perfect for those who appreciate artisanal elegance with a modern touch.
With Madhur Bhandarkar and Aahana Kumra closing the show, the collection added a dose of star power. Aahana’s edgy two-piece ensemble and Madhur’s classic suit were a fitting finale to the carefully curated collection, proving once again that he knows how to bring a dramatic edge to menswear. Rohit’s collection wasn’t just another display of sharp tailoring—it was an invitation to indulge in structured luxury that’s both timeless and on trend.
