If you’ve been keeping up with anti-ageing trends, you’ve likely heard of well-known botulinum toxin treatments like Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin. But now, there’s a new contender on the block: Letybo. The injectible has been making waves, and according to dermatologist Dr Geeta Grewal, it’s one to keep your eye on. “Letybo offers a great alternative to the more established brands,” she says. “Its formula works well for patients looking for fast and effective results.”

With wedding season around the corner and the acceptance of injectables (for brides, mothers of the bride and groom and any other wedding attendee!) at an all-time high, we figured it’s time to take a deep dive into all things Letybo now…

What makes Letybo stand out? It’s a newer formulation of botulinum toxin type A, designed to target and smooth out dynamic wrinkles and fine lines that show up when you smile, frown, or squint. According to early clinical studies, it’s showing up to be a pretty effective option.

“Patients appreciate Letybo for its versatility,” says Dr Geeta, “It works well on multiple areas of the face, from crow’s feet around the eyes to frown lines between the brows.” But what really sets Letybo apart is how fast it works. “Many of my patients notice visible results within just a few days of treatment,” she says.  “The rapid onset can be a game-changer for someone looking for a quick fix before a big event.” Its fast-acting nature is one of the major selling points of Letybo. “With other treatments like Botox, you typically see results within three days to a week.”

Letybo Vs Botox, Dysport And Xeomin

Wondering how Letybo stacks up against the other heavyweights in the botulinum toxin arena?

  • Botox: As the gold standard for over two decades, Botox remains a trusted option. Its results kick in within three days to a week and last anywhere from three to six months. It’s known for both cosmetic and medical applications.
  • Dysport: This product spreads easily, making it ideal for treating larger areas like the forehead. Dysport works quickly, often within two to five days, but its effects may not last quite as long as Botox.
  • Xeomin: Xeomin stands out because it doesn’t contain accessory proteins, which means it’s a ‘naked’ formulation. This can be beneficial for patients who experience sensitivity or side effects from other brands. It works similarly to Botox, with effects seen in three days to a week and a comparable duration.

“Each of these treatments has its strengths,” says Dr Grewal, “But Letybo offers a great balance of quick results and effectiveness for multiple areas of the face.”

How To Know If Letybo Is For You?

If fast results and a versatile treatment are on your wish list, Letybo might just be your new favourite. “Patients want results quickly, and they want those results to look natural,” Dr Grewal explains that Letybo delivers on both fronts. Although it’s still accumulating long-term data, the early feedback has been positive. “So far, my patients are loving it,” she says, “We’ve seen improvements in both fine lines and deeper wrinkles.” As always, it’s important to consult with a qualified dermatologist or aesthetic practitioner before deciding on any treatment. Dr Grewal emphasises the importance of personalised care. “What works for one person might not work for another. It’s essential to discuss your goals and any potential risks with your practitioner.”

So, if you’re looking for a way to smooth out those wrinkles and want something that delivers quick results, Letybo could be the treatment you’ve been waiting for. As Dr Grewal sums it up: “Letybo is definitely an option to consider if you want to refresh on your appearance—fast.” For brides who might be considering the injectable for a tune-up, the dermatologist recommends getting it done at least 15 days before your events begin.
