Seasons keep changing, and so does our skin. And when it comes to practising daily rituals, a seasonal update is highly recommended. When it comes to ensuring your skin survives the brunt of humidity as monsoon arrives, hyaluronic acid will come to your rescue.

The first step is to choose water-based products over those with oil. Soaring humidity, due to heavy rains, can cause infection and clogged pores resulting in acne.

We suggest swapping your good ol’ moisturiser for something lighter. Anything that is oil-free or is enriched with hyaluronic acid does the job. Instead of a heavy cream, use a light textured moisturiser, as the skin tends to hold on to more water during the humid season.

The second thing to ensure is that your moisturiser is non-comedogenic to not clog pores and make it feel more comfortable on the skin. This will last longer and ensure your skin doesn’t feel dehydrated due to excessive moisture loss. Humid air might feel hydrating, but it can make it harder for your body to cool down through sweat. This can lead to dehydration and dry, itchy skin.

We’ve rounded up some of the best moisturisers that will help you fare through the rainy season, whatever your skin type may be…
